Eating
Mildly sweet
The Fuji apple was first developed in the 1940s in Japan, and grew to represent over 70% of China’s apple production, the largest in the world. This varietal grows a large and attractive apple that has a pink-speckled flush over top of a yellow-green background. It is mildly sweet, but not overly so, and has a dense, crisp, and juicy flesh. The Fuji apple requires lots of sun, and a long growing season, and is harvested late-season, in November. Moderate disease resistance. Generally heavy crop. Average vigour.
