Full Bittersweet, English Cider, West-Country Style

 

Physical Attributes:

  • Skin: Yellow-Green flecked with Red
  • Flesh: White-green, fuzzy
Flavour:

          “Vintage worthy” cider with aromas of dried apple, cloves and bitter orange peel. Amber coloured juice.

Neat History:

          William Dabinett propagated a chance seedling in Middle Lambrook, Somerset in the early 20th century. It has since grown an immense following in Brittany/Normandy and is the most planted cider variety in the United Kingdom. Probably a descendant of Chisel Jersey.
